Verizon Wireless Offers Line of Hope For Violence Victims
Verizon Wireless, one of the most popular mobile carriers in United States, has decided to lend a helping hand to victims of recent violence in Korean community. For this, the service provider has activated HopeLine in association with Oakland Athletics team.
As Oakland A’s home games are scheduled to start from today, this event has served as a great platform for reaching the donators in an appreciable manner. The location behind McAfee Coliseum’s section 119 has been utilized to setup HopeLine recycling station, which was visited by donors today for donating unusable products like wireless devices and their accessories.
It should be recalled that representatives from Verizon Wireless, accompanied by members from Oakland Athletics, donated as many as $12,365 to Korean Community Centre on August 28. Rick Garwood, the acting regional president for Verizon Wireless considered it as a pompous event for this service provider. According to him, the credit for the success of this event must be shared with Oakland Athletics team. It was because of the admiration gained by this team amongst its fan, which encouraged hundreds of people to participate in this donation program.
