Two 4.3 inch Devices to Compete on Windows and Android Platforms
First is the new handset from Archos and second one is the HTC Leo. Both these devices have been put on direct competition with each other, as both of them have 4.3 inch displays and target the common section of pocket busting customers. However, these two devices differ on the platforms supported by them. While HTC Leo will run on Windows Mobile, the Archos device will have the support of none other than the Android operating system.
The Archos device has been packed in 10 inch thickness and thus, it is a definitely an interesting shell design. The cell phone also features a 1GHz CPU, along with the huge screen that offers the resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. HSDPA connectivity is another feature that has been revealed by the manufacturer so far. Like all other Android devices, this handset will also offer a HVGA resolution. The trend will only change after the Android 1.6 Donut enters the market. A number of other modifications are also expected to be introduced with this new platform version.
Coming back to the track, HTC Leo, which will be called HTC pro from now on, is packed with 1GHz Snapdragon platform and a 4.3-inch WVGA touch screen display. The cell phone acrrying320MB of RAM and 512MB ROM will run on Windows Mobile 6.5. Another highlight of the device will be TouchFLO 3D interface.
The new version of Windows as well as Android platforms is expected to offer a good competition to watch for.
