Touch Phone Sale Reaches 50 Million Mark for Samsung
Samsung has all good reasons to celebrate. As per the latest reports, the company has acquired increased sale and hence, has grabbed a big pie of the market share. The credit for this success goes particularly to the touch phone category of the company. The year 2009 in particular has been a wonderful year for the company to raise the sale of its touch phones to the mark of 50 million.
Samsung S5230 is leading the touch phone brigade of the company, with over 10 million devices already sold. It should be noted that the cell phone was released in May and its sale reached 5 million in August itself. Even today, it can be called the most demanded Samsung device and we can appreciate the prediction of the manufacturer regarding the device.
Samsung Tocco follows Samsung Star, as the former has the sale of 9 million to its credit. Carrying the excellent TouchWiz interface of Samsung, the device has been releases in the form of various versions, with each one accepted and appreciated by the audiences. Another achievement comes for Samsung Corby that got released only few months ago and has been sold in the figure of 3 million.
It is amazing to know that 40 million devices were sold in 2009 only; experiencing a four time increase in the sale from last year’s 10 million. Overall, Samsung came up with 200 million devices in 2009 and Samsung is aiming at much big number for the next year. For this, it has already started making preparations, including the launch of Bada OS, a new and excellently performing operating system.
