Talks about Android 3.0 Gingerbread Surface – Expected in October
The smart phone market is slowly becoming habitual to Android 2.2 Froyo. A number of devices are still waiting for the Froyo update. So, what if you get to know about an even more superior Android version? Yes! Rumors say that Android 3.0 Gingerbread is getting prepared and it might appear somewhere in the middle of October. There are talks that the user interface for Android 3.0 is being refurbished to offer more utility and there will be minimum hardware requirements for the devices to run on it.
As expected, Android 3.0 will serve only the high-end devices and Android 2.1 and 2.2 will be available for mid-range and low-end smart phones. Some of the minimum requirements for the devices to run on Android 3.0 will be a 1 GHz CPU and 512 MB RAM. A display of 3.5 inch will also be among the minimum requirements for Android 3.0 to work.
A new resolution of 1280×760 will be supported by Android 3.0 Gingerbread. Another modification will be brought by putting an end to the third party user interfaces. We expect Nexus One Cell phone to be the first device to run on Android 3.0 as it fulfills all requirements for the upcoming platform. However, the chances of Nexus Two can’t be completely ignored to become the first Android 3.0 device.
Everything mentioned above needs official confirmation from Google. We are eager to hear more about the next version of Android and the new features is it going to bring.
