Keeping its tradition on to surprise, Samsung has yet again become successful in unpacking two new surprises for the audiences, specifically those constituting the female population of cell phone lovers. The two surprises come in the form of Samsung S7070 and Samsung S5150, both targeted at women buyers. The manufacturer surprised by showcasing the two devices at an event, before any prior announcement about them.

Both the Samsung handsets are mid-range devices and are slotted to be released in the first few months of the year 2010. Samsung S7070 is a touch screen enabled device, with some of the features including a 5 MP camera with auto focus and the TouchWiz user interface. The screen is a 3 inch resistive display with WQVGA resolution. FM radio, micro SD card slot, micro USB connector and Bluetooth connectivity are other features on the list for this device.

The second device is Samsung S5150, which has been codenamed as Olivia. Some of the features known for the clamshell device include a 2.2 inch QVGA resolution screen and a 3 MP camera. No words have been revealed about the prices of these two Samsung devices.

In another news story, Samsung Jet has obtained a major firmware update in the form of S8000XEII2. With this, the users of this device can experience a number of new and updated features, including new widgets for Twitter and Facebook, new user interface for rearranging the icons of the main menu, improved web browser and media browser, and also, the new music player interface.
