Samsung S8000 Jet and I8000 Omnia II Finally Introduced
Most of you might have got tired after reading the speculations regarding few of the Samsung devices. Finally, Samsung unveils its two awaited cell phones in the form of S8000 Jet and I8000 Omnia II. Both are full-touch handsets with fit-to-purpose features.
Samsung S8000 Jet can be called a true multimedia device with a 3.1 inch AMOLED screen having WVGA resolution and support for DivX and XviD videos. The cell phone also features a 5MP camera, along with support for GPS and 3G. Wi-Fi, FM radio and a power-packed 800 MHz CPU are also included in the list to extend the performance of the device. DNSe & SRS sound technologies are other features worth mentioning. WebKit-based Dolfin web browser and Samsung Mobile Navigator are some of the innovative features include dint his device.
Samsung I8000 Omnia II runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional operating system and is the second version of the very popular Samsung Omnia. The cell phone accommodates a huge 3.7 inch display with functionalities like touch operations, AMOLED and WVGA resolution. HSDPA and HSUPA are the data technologies onboard of this device. Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and USB are the rich connectivity features offered by the device. A 5MP camera supports D1 video recording and one can also find memory support of up to 16 GB, along with provision for micro SD card.
TouchWiz interface version 2 is the platform available on both the devices. Hence, you will be able to find some unique features like Motion UI and 3D Media Gate, with 6-key multimedia features. The bad news is that there is still no information available on the prices and release dates of these cell phones.
