Nokia Erdos Introduced; Impresses with superlative Design and Wonderful Specs
The new member of Nokia 8800 series, codenamed as Erdos, differentiates itself from other members of the family, known mainly for being the luxuriously looking devices. Erdos, apart from offering an eye-catching design, is also made capable with innovative features and attention-grabbing specs.
To begin with design, Nokia Erdos will make news with its design being crafted from a single piece of bullet silver. On top of that, the glass cover of the screen installed in this device also turns silver in off mode, leaving an impression of silver all over. The glass cover of the screen is scratch proof, the display being an OLED unit with QVGA resolution and 2.4 inch diagonal.
It is a slider form factor design with a new unique feature. The key pad rises, when the phone is slid out, making the keys much more accessible. Some of the other highlights of the device are support for Wi-Fi, A-GPS and 8 GB of memory, though there is no space for expansion.
Running on Symbian S60 operating system, the cell phone deserves to be called the first of its family to acquire the status of full smart phone features. The cell phone measures 116.9 x 50.3 x 15.0 mm, though nothing is mentioned about the weight it carries. A 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss lens, dual-LED flash and auto focus is another feature to mention.
Expected to release in October, the price for this admirable phone is yet to be revealed.
