Nokia Combines Touch Screen with Conventional Keypad for First Time
Nokia has planned to launch a new handset, which will be titled as Nokia 6208 Classic. The special aspect of this cell phone with candy bar design will be that it will be the first attempt from the company to combine touch screen functionality with traditional alphanumeric keypad. This combination is going to make debut with launch of the cell phone in the market.
Though, the company has already launched cell phone, capable of working on latest Symbian edition, S60, this latest member of the family will work upon modified version of S40 operating system. Thus, this cell phone has another reason for creating curiosity among the cell phone users.
Apart from this, the Nokia 6208 Classic cell phone boasts of offering some other attractive features. The device will carry a TFT touch screen display with a dimension of 2.8 inch. Also, it will offer a resolution of 240×320 pixels. There will be micro SD support for 27 MB memory space to be included in the design. The camera included in this design is a 3.2MP image shooter with features like auto focus and flash. This quad-band facilitated cell phone will also be supported by EDGE data capability.
The cell phone will be an advantage for those users, who find it difficult to use touch screen functionality offered by majority of cell phone these days. At the same time, it will be an advantage for users, who find it difficult to enter data using keypad. The prices and date of release is still undisclosed for Nokia 6208 Classic.
