Motorola Enters Late in Android Race, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless Promises Two Devices
Motorola is among the left-over cell phone manufacturers to enter the Android race ruling the market. The manufacturer has already disclosed its intentions to launch two Android based smart phones. T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless will each be releasing one of these devices by the end of the year.
The Motorola device that will be released by T-Mobile will be a slide-out smart phone with QWERTY keyboard. Apart from this, the cell phone will also support social networking websites like Facebook, Twitter and others. A similar Motorola device with Android support is on the list for Verizon Wireless as well.
However, it is going to be a small effort by Motorola to contribute towards the flourishing Android market. Other cell phone manufacturers like HTC, Samsung and Sony Ericsson have already launched a number of Android based devices, while there are more on the list that will be released sooner or later by the year ends.
Among others, HTC is one manufacturer that is all set to extensively take advantage of Android popularity. The Android based devices from HTC like G1 and HTC magic are already there is the market and we don’t need to mention about their popularity. No only that, the manufacturer has already revealed its interest in launching myTouch 3G during the summer and it is again an Android based device. It doesn’t stop here as another Android device called HTC Hero is waiting for its launch. Only time will tell how good Motorola devices will stand in the Android market.
