LG BL20 Chocolate - No More Rumors, Officially Announced
LG BL20 Chocolate, the handset that had been appearing in the form of rumors, has finally received an official announcement from its manufacturer. The cell phone is the new member of LG’s Chocolate family and is ready with a launch in the final quarter of the year.
What you might have been reading or hearing about the LG BL20 Chocolate specifications, most of that has been confirmed to be true. The new Chocolate is a bar design, with slider functionality as well. Packed in the thickness of 12.3mm, the cell phone offers a 5 MP camera with not so advanced camera features. The video recording has also been restricted to QVGA@15fps.
LG BL20 is not a smart phone, but one might expect the device to carry some good features like Wi-Fi and GPS. However, the new Chocolate device only disappoints by not supporting these features. Moreover, there are no features like accelerometer and audio jack mentioned in the specification list.
It is not a full-touch experience, but the device has a touch pad, supporting variety of keys. The key pad is activated when the slider is opened and one can access two volume knobs, along with the camera key. A Widget Hotkey can also be utilized to access 4 common features like Weekly Schedule, News, Alarm and others. Clear Memo Capture mode is another feature of the device that facilitates taking shots of handwriting and drawings, apart from text.
To be in the competition with other devices, LG BL20 will have to stand apart in its pricing.
