Latest Leaks on iPhone 3GS, Proves Faster than iPhone 3G
Apple is cleverly using all these days, which are pending for the grand release of new generation iPhone devices. As a result, specifications of new iPhone 3GS are being revealed slowly, thereby increasing the people’s interest in it. With latest information, the manufacturer has proved that new version of the device will be twice as quick as its ancestor.
To begin with, the new Apple device will accommodate power-packed 600 MHz ARM Cortex A8 CPU. It must be known that the current version has a 412 MHz CPU, so it can be a significant upgrade to have a better performing CPU in the version to be released soon. Apart from improvement in speed, this will bring down the core manufacturing process from 90nm to 65nm. Another significant upgrade has been introduced in terms of RAM capacity, as the new version will have 256MB RAM, as compared to 128MB in iPhone 3G.
Apart from this, the L1 cache for the new devices has been doubled from that present in the current version of iPhone. In addition, a L2 cache of 256KB has been introduced in the new version. Not only this, the graphics accelerator has also been upgraded from PowerVR MBX-Lite to PowerVR SGX. With this, one can expect 150% increase in fill rate and as much as 600% increase in the geometry performance.
The new cell phone will also support OpenGL ES 2.0 graphics API that was missed by the iPhone 3G. So, can we expect more till the final day arrives?
