HTC Lancaster and Motorola Heron to Enter the Android World
AT&T is enjoying a good phase of time and here are two more reasons for the mobile carrier to celebrate. HTC Lancaster and Motorola Heron are in the development phase and both the devices are going to carry the support of Android operating system. Both the devices will have QWERTY keyboards as well as touch screen features. It seems that Android family is going to hugely expand by the end of this year.
Expected to release on August 3, the HTC Lancaster is facilitated with Qualcomm MSM7225 processor, 3MP camera, micro SD card and micro USB support. Apart from this, the device will have the support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and HSDPA.
Motorola Heron will accompany the HTC handset after 3 months of its release, as the former is expected to release on November 2. Motorola Heron was first rumored to be a Windows Mobile device. However, AT&T has started endorsing it as an Android device. As far as specifications are concerned, the Motorola device is going to walk on the footprints of its HTC counterpart.
So, the Motorola fans are going to find features like 3MP camera, with LED flash and QVGA video recording in this upcoming device. There will be support for micro SD expansion slot as well as micro USB. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and HSDPA are the connectivity features that will be carried by Heron as well. Other features will include the support for GPS and a 2.8 inch touch screen display. Excitement is bound to rise till we find these devices on the shelves.
