HTC Brings another Droid after Motorola Droid
Motorola Droid was recently released in the United States through Verizon Wireless and now, it is the turn of HTC to bring another Droid to the market. The device has been named HTC Droid Eris and it has also made the entry through Verizon. What make them interesting are the expectations from these two Droids to act as the iPhone killers.
The two Droids are among the recent entrants in the smart phone category and both have the support of Android platform. Though, there are huge distinction between the two devices in terms of design and features. For instance, Motorola Droid features a sliding-out physical QWERTY keyboard, whereas the HTC device is a single piece touch screen handset. And of course, Droid Eris from HTC is much lighter than Motorola Droid and thus, can be called the lighter version of the Motorola device.
Some of the features available with HTC Droid Eris are a 3.2 inch touch screen and a 5 MP camera. And then, the user of this device can have access to all good applications offered by Google, or Android Marketplace to be more specific.
Both Motorola Droid and HTC Droid Eris share some good qualities that justify their name for being the smart phones. Excellent call quality and high speed web browsing are two of the qualities worth mentioning. Amazon MP3 store and Google’s Maps are other features that can be called great for these devices.
So, are the two Droids going to prove themselves as the real iPhone killers? It is the matter of wait and watch.
