HTC Aims to Bring Various Devices on the Block
HTC launched myTouch 3G as the successor of its much appreciated G1 device. The new device has been presented with a number of software and hardware updates. For instance, the slide out keyboard of the G1 mobile has been replaced by a slim keyboard, resembling one installed in iPhone. A special button has been reserved on the keypad to open Google search engine directly. Better battery life, fast snap taking ability and Microsoft Exchange for checking the mails are some of the improved features for myTouch 3G.
Though HTC is working hard to launch Android based devices, it has not deviated from the path of introducing Windows based cell phones. So, you can find as many as three HTC devices on the way to release by the end of this year. The first one is Whitestone, which will be a CDMA version of Touch Diamond2. A 5 MP camera with features like auto focus and anti-shake capability and GPS support are the highlights of the cell phone. Running on Windows Mobile 6.1, the cell phone will be released in September or October.
HTC Mega is another device and it will be supported by Windows Mobile 6.5. A 2.8 inch display, a 3 MP camera and GPS support will be the highlights of this device. HTC Tachi is the last one in the row and will feature Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.1MP camera and micro SD card storage. No information is available about the prices of these handsets.
