Global Mobile Awards – Wait for Winner among Nominees
Once again, it is that occasion of the year, which is capable of raising heartbeats. The big day of Global Mobile Awards is approaching near in the form of February 17 and the list of nominees has been disclosed by the award organizers. Among all other categories, one which grabs attention every year is that of Best Mobile Handset or Device. This time too, you might be expecting the nominees to be the most praised devices of the year. However, the picture is not painted according to your expectations.
First of all, the 8 MP camera phones have not even a single entry in the list of nominees for this category. These cell phones had been in news throughout the last year, but none of them succeeded to get included in the nominations. Second, Samsung has not been able to find any of its last year devices in the list. You might have expected Samsung i900 Omnia or i8510 INNOV8 in the list, but you are going to be disappointed.
Similar is the situation for HTC, as Touch Diamond and Touch HD models of the company have not made it to the nominee’s list. The two devices were cherished by their users and received positive reviews; still they are not in the list.
INQ’s INQ1 is the surprise entry in the list, though majority of cell phone experts consider it to be a well-deserved nomination. With facilities offered by the device, including instant access to Facebook and Windows Live Messenger has brought the fame for it. Apart from this, Nokia E71, T-Mobile G1, Blackberry Storm 9500 and LG KS360 are other entries for best device of the year.
