In the recent news about the Windows Phone 7 supported devices, Microsoft has leaked some real good screenshots of one of these devices. Most likely, it is going to be the LG Apollo that was in rumors in the month of January. If that is true, you are going to have some admirable features onboard, apart from the support of Windows latest platform.

A 5 MP camera, a fast 1 GHz (or faster) processor, 720p video recording, huge AMOLED display, 1 GB of RAM and many other features are expected to be present inside the device. The device is going to be categorized into Chassis 2 class, as revealed by Microsoft few days back. Interesting news is that with all great features, the device is going to have a decent measure in terms of thickness.

At the same time, it is disappointing to know that HTC HD2 has failed to qualify for the expected upgrade to Windows Phone 7. And, the culprit behind this is the layout of the device that lacks the three hardware buttons. However, we are still unaware of the full hardware requirements of Windows Phone 7 platform.

As many as 3 variants, or chassis, have been leaked by the company to reveal Windows Phone 7 requirements for different types of
handsets.Out of these three, only the first chassis has some details for the interested readers. As per the revealed details,the chassis 1 variant is for the big touch screen phones. Though, it is yet not confirmed, but a 3.6 inch WVGA is one of the requirements for these devices.In addition,these phones,to run Windows Phone 7,should have 1 GHz CPU and graphics acceleration.

Chassis 2 and chassis 3 have limited information for the readers. Some of the rumored requirements for chassis 2 are slide-out QWERTY keyboards and touch screens. The chassis 2 devices are being called the Treo-like.

Chassis 3 devices have been specified to be those with bar form factor. You can wait for few more days to learn about other hardware requirements, including camera resolution, GPS, Wi-Fi and other components. As far as the launch of these variants is concerned, the chassis 1 is going to be around by the holiday season, though there is no information about chassis 2 and 3.

At first, it appeared that Touch.B has been designed to run on Android operating system, but the information got immediately revised to confirm that instead of Android, it will be the Qualcomm Brew platform for the new HTC handset. The platform has been around for few years, but due to its lack of support for GSM, it remained silent for many of us. Now, the platform has been upgraded to support GSM and other features and hence, HTC has found all good reasons to be partner with it.

There is support for 3G and Bluetooth connectivity for this new device, but there are some disappointing features as well. For instance, the touch device form HTC is going to have the camera with the resolution of only 2 MP. On top of that, there is no video recording supported by the device. And the final discouraging words are that there is no support for Wi-Fi.

Codenamed as Rome, HTC Touch.B is rumored to resemble HTC Touch2 for many other features. Keep watching for more updates on the device, as it might bring something more to entertain your interest.

Nokia N87 is probably the next in the line of the ambitious cell phone from the manufacturer. The recent leaked pictures of the device indicate the presence of some good features. It is already known that the Nokia handset supports a 12 MP camera. Now, it has been revealed that the camera features will include, Carl Zeiss optics, Xenon flash and dual LED flash. The new information adds a 3.2 inch capacitive touch screen, with 480 x 800 pixel resolution to the list of the features. The cell phone is supported by a 600 MHz processor, as per the pictures found on internet. Finally, there is indication that the device will carry memory of 16 GB. Slide out multimedia keys form another specification for the device.

As for the news related to LG, those who consider LG Arena as one of the most successful devices from the manufacturer can find this information to be interesting. An upgraded version of Arena, to be called LG LU9400 Arena Max, is getting developed. Unfortunately, none of the handset features, except the support for Wi-Fi can be written at this point of time. Some news leaves the readers eagerly waiting for the updates.

Talking about the features supported by the LG GW820 eXpo, the device will run on a Windows Mobile 6.5 platform. The processor included in the design is 1 GHz Snapdragon and there is a full QWERTY keyboard to appear as the side slider. A 3.2 inch touch screen display with WVGA resolution is another highlight of the handset. Along with that, there is a 5 MP camera with auto focus and LED flash as its features. The memory supported by the cell phone is expandable up to 16 GB.

GPS, 3G with HSDPA and Wi-Fi, along with Bluetooth and micro USB are the connectivity features one can find in the device. Another feature worth mentioning is the Smart Sensor technology for fingerprint recognition. Most interestingly, it is the first hybrid device to accommodate a pico projector. An additional price of US $180 will be charged few weeks later, if the buyers wish to include the option accessory of LG mobile projector.

Samsung S5230 is leading the touch phone brigade of the company, with over 10 million devices already sold. It should be noted that the cell phone was released in May and its sale reached 5 million in August itself. Even today, it can be called the most demanded Samsung device and we can appreciate the prediction of the manufacturer regarding the device.

Samsung Tocco follows Samsung Star, as the former has the sale of 9 million to its credit. There is support for micro SD card to allow the memory expansion of up to 32 GB. Available in three colors, namely black, white and red, the cell phone offers connectivity support through HSDPA, at 7.2 Mbps, and HSUPA, at 2.0 Mbps. In addition, there is support for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and mini USB port.

In terms of the hardware components, the handset is quite similar to Acer neoTouch. Apart from Liquid, the company also aims at launching other Android based devices in the few days to come. However, the manufacturer follows the path of Apple to release few, but quality handsets. Needless to say, Apple followed the policy successfully and we expect Acer to succeed as well. Hence, the 6-7% of the smart phone market share can be grabbed by Acer in a couple of years.

X6 has an enticing list of specifications to its credit. Apart from the 3.2 inch capacitive touch screen, the handset accommodates a 5MP camera with features like auto focus, Carl Zeiss optics and dual LED flash. Nokia X6 comes with a hefty price tag and this can restrict some of its admirers to put their hands on it. However, we can surely expect the price to drop to an affordable level in the coming time.

First of all, LG BL40 that was released not long ago is ready for another release and this time, the device is going to carry an 8MP camera, as against the 5MP snapper present in the existing version. In addition, a 2.2 inch screen with QVGA resolution is present in the cell phone that measures 95.2 x 46 x 15.9 mm and weighs 110 g.

Nokia 7230 has features, like a 2.4 inch screen with QVGA, a 3.2 MP camera and the support for Flickr and Facebook. GSM, tri-band 3G in two versions, a 3.5 mm audio jack and Nokia messaging are some other features to talk about. The cell phone will be available in color variations like graphite and pink.
