Did We See the First Android Device for Motorola and Verizon?
The preparations are on for Motorola to launch its first Android based smart phone. The screenshot of a new device leaked on the website of the manufacturer and it shows all signs and symptoms of being the Android device. The slider cell phone has a massive touch screen display and full QWERTY keyboard and it appears to be an attractive device.
Verizon Wireless will enter the race of Android smart phones with the launch of Motorola device. The cell phone we are talking about has been codenamed as Motorola Sholes. There are speculations about the specifications of the device, however, the official specification list will appear no sooner than the month of October.
Motorola Sholes is packed in the dimensions of 60.00 x 115.80 x 13.70 mm and it weighs 169 g. The 3.7 inch touch screen display is going to offer the picture resolution of 480 by 854 pixels, with some other unrevealed features. The memory capacity of the cell phone can be extended up to 16 GB. A 5 MP camera with auto focus and other capable features is also lined up in the list of features. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS are also expected to be on board.
In general, the Android based smart phones require good amount of horsepower to perform in a desirable manner. Though, there are no details about the processor installed in Motorola Sholes, one can expect it to be capable enough to provide enough support to the Android functionality.
