Dell Making Preparations to Strike with Thunder, Lightning and More
Dell is preparing to bring its five new devices that not only have influential names but some striking features as well.
Dell Lightning is the first device to start with and it is the only Windows Phone 7 device in the bunch. The features of the device include a 4.1 inch OLED screen, 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, a full QWERTY keyboard, 512MB RAM, 8GB of internal storage, along with a 5MP camera. Expected to be stores in the last quarter, Lightning will be launched by AT&T and T-Mobile.
The remaining 4 devices are Android babies, with no less than impressive features. The first one is called the Dell Thunder with an 8MP auto focus camera and a 4.1 inch WVGA OLED display. Flash 10, Dell home-brewed interface and social networking are other supported features of Thunder that will be available in the last quarter.
The Dell Smoke is the second device in the list and has features like full QWERTY keyboard, an 800 MHz Qualcomm MSM7230 processor, a 5MP camera, 14.4Mbps HSPA, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and so on. Most interestingly, the device will run on Android 2.2 Froyo, but unfortunately, it won’t be seen before 2011.
The third Android device from Dell is a candy bar design named Flash. A 3.5″ WVGA TFT display, a 800MHz Qualcomm, 512MB RAM, 64GB of microSD card support, Flash 10, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi with DLNA and a 3.5mm audio jack are other features of the device. Again the device will run on Android 2.2 Froyo and is slotted for a 2011 release.
The final device unveiled is the Dell Aero. The Cell phone device features 3G with HSDPA, Wi-Fi, a 5MP camera and it can be called an improved version of Dell 3i. You will be able to see it in the third or the fourth quarter.
