Blackberry Storm appeared on the scene during October last years and became instant success in the market. The main credit for the success of this Research in Motion device was that it became the first device from the manufacturer to support touch screen input. So, the device became the direct competitor of iPhone from Apple that also supported the similar feature. However, some of the features of Storm have been criticized till date.

Now, Research in Motion is expected to introduce the second version of the Blackberry Storm. Though, it is still in rumors, but one can expect it to be the improved version of its predecessor. The new cell phone will undergo changes, not only in terms of design, but also in the functionality offered by the current model.

The clickable touch sensitive display of Storm was criticized by some of the users and hence, the manufacturer is expected to refine the feature in Storm 2. Also, the sidea of the cell phone will be upgraded to provide better look and feel to the user. However, the design at the back is expected to have no change at all.

Apart from this, Storm 2 will also provide support to Wi-Fi that was missed in the first version. One can also expect improved performance from the new version. The user interface is going to be much friendlier in the new version, as compared to the older one. It seems that the manufacturer is aimed at extending the reach of this Blackberry device to the normal users as well.
