Blackberry 9900 Makes Another Sound – Are We Expecting It?

Blackberry 9900 – The name was heard somewhere back in the beginning of last quarter of 2008. The news marked the intent of Research in Motion to launch more than one smart phone devices, Blackberry 9900 being one of them. Also named as Pluto, the cell phone again appears in the leaked documents of Rogers. So, can we expect it to soon appear on the scene?

As told earlier in 2008, Pluto from Blackberry will resemble Blackberry Storm or Bold in the terms of looks. You can expect the cell phone to carry a full QWERTY keyboard, along with touch screen functionality. One uncertain aspect of the Blackberry 9900 is availability of Sure Press functionality. The technology works in a manner similar to touch pads found in the MacBook notebooks, recently released by none other than Apple. As you might be familiar, this technology helps the user to make a selection on the screen by clicking on it. So, we keep out fingers crossed for this new device form Blackberry to contain this feature.

Blackberry 9900 has high probability of supporting 3G functionalities in the form of HSDPA. So, you can expect high-profile data capabilities, as you might have experienced in Blackberry Bold. Moreover, the new device will be endowed with the same processor as found in Bold. However, the manufacturer has decided to subtract the availability of trackball in this device.

The cell phone can have its official announcement at Wireless Enterprise Symposium in May 2009 and you can expect it to hit the stores in quarter 3.
