The original device form Apple, called iPhone 3G, will now be known as iPhone 3GS. The 2009 version of the device has finally appeared on the scene with few new features added to the list. You can call it uninteresting that most of the features of original device have been retained.

iPhone 3GS, where S stands for Speed, accommodates a 3MP camera with auto focus. Additionally, it will offer the touch focus functionality as well. Apart from that, the new version of the popular device will offer VGA video recording at the rate of 30fps. Built-in compass is another notable feature that has been included in the list for iPhone 3GS.

Talking about the upgrades, the camera in the new device should offer improvement in the terms of low light sensitivity. Also, you can find the provision of macro mode, along with a video editor to edit the videos recorded using the camera.

The Home button of the new device can be used to activate video command interface, so that the user can take advantage of video dialing feature. The compass included in the device associates with Google Maps and also offers its own application to provide you with right direction. Apart from this, the new Apple device will offer wireless support for the well-known Nike+ system.

Hardware encryption for enhanced security is another upgrade brought in the new device. A new Find my iPhone service has also been started to protect your device from being stolen. Another significant improvement has been brought as 20 percent increase in the battery life. The iPhone admirers will be able to see the device in the stores from June 19 onwards.
