Samsung chose the Or@S Olympic rendezvous event that was held in Beijing, China in conjunction with the ongoing summer Olympics to unveil their new eco-friendly offering- the Samsung E200 eco.
The President of Samsung telecommunication business, Geesung Choi talked about Samsung striving to make more products that are green to the possible extent and to setup a phone recycling system proactively and expand it further. The new phone, E200 eco, is made up of bio-plastics that comes from plant based materials (mainly corn) replacing the otherwise used polycarbonate plastics that are basically petroleum based. Packaged in an easy-to-recycle box made up of recycled and non-coated paper, this new phone blends the F268 and W510 to boost the Samsung’s green program and product line.
The two-fold advantages of the usage of bio-plastics are
- The production of non renewable plastics is reduced to a good extent.
- The manufacturing process of bio-plastics, as claimed by Samsung reduces the fuel consumption and cuts the CO2 emissions too by a worthy 35%.
Samsung with this product has proved about it doing what’s truly the best for environment. This proud product of Samsung is bound to hit the markets of Europe this September.
