Sony Ericsson Cell Phones

The Sony Ericsson company is a joint venture of Sony Corporation and Ericsson AB, which was established in October 2001. The Sony company is related to Japanese consumer electronics and the Ericsson is related to Swedish telecommunications. Especially the Sony Ericsson was established for making mobile phones. The company's main aim is to establish Sony Ericsson as the most innovative and attractive global brand of the world mobile handset industry.

Sony Ericsson produces various types of products like mobile multimedia devices, PC cards, M2M solutions and Phone accessories. These products are combined with the innovative applications and powerful technology for communications, entertainment and mobile imagined. Sony Ericsson produces different types of Cell Phones like Camera phones, Music phones, Talk and Text phones, Email and Web phones and Design phones. The Company also developed the CDMA technology phones. After the release of Walkman and Cybershot phones, Sony Ericsson company is now interested in developing the Blackberry-enabled models. The Sony Ericsson K750 is the first Camera phone with 2 Mega pixel and the W800 is Walkman branded phone which gives high quality of digital music.

Sony Ericsson has got a 43% annual growth rate departing the Motorola which was 39% in the third Quarter of 2006. This is archived because of a high growth in the sale of handset market. In the year 2005 Sony Ericsson introduced the Walkman-branded W series music phones. These phones are the first music-centric Cell Phones. Sales of Sony Ericsson are highly increased after the introduction of the CyberShot-branded series of phones in 2006.

F series - Low-mid range mobile phones (F500).
J series - Low end candy bar mobile phones (J100-J300).
K series - Low to high end candy bar mobile phones (K200-K850).
M series - Mid range Symbian OS smart phones (M600).
P series - High end Symbian OS smart phones (P800-P990, P1).
S series - High-mid end swivel and slider mobile phones (S500-S700).
T series - Low to high-mid end candy bar type mobile phones (T68-T650).
V series - Mid to high end mobile phones (V600-V800).
W series - Low to high end mobile phones branded under the Walkman name (W200-W960).
Z series - Low to high-mid end clamshell mobile phones (Z200-Z1010).

Sony Ericsson's product V800 was voted as the Best 3G Handset for 2004 by the GSM Association. For the year 2005/06 Sony Ericsson's product K750i was awarded with the TIPA award as the “Best Mobile Imaging Device”, chosen by the 31 leading European imagining/photography magazines. For picture quality, Sony Ericsson often achieves the ‘Best in Class’ Award. The K800 Cyber-shot camera phone ( the first 3.2 mega pixel camera ) has been awarded with the Best 3GSM Handset by the GSM Association for Global Mobile Awards 2007.
