Nokia 6060 Cell Phones
Nokia introduced the 6060 at the Nokia Connection 2005 event. Unlike most Nokia phones, the Nokia 6060 is a flip phone. Nokia had said earlier that it had a new focus on introducing flip phones. In terms of design, 6060 is alike 6101. The Nokia 6060 features a range of contemporary messaging functionalities. With phones proving that looks sell anything, Nokia 6060 seems to be operating on that modus operandi when it was launched as part of the series of new Cell Phones at the "Live Connected" Campaign earlier this year. Having flipped open the device, user will discover a medium-sized TFT display, featuring a resolution of 128x160 pixels. As soon as the backlight has dimmed down, the display switches to showing digital watch, though it’s not entirely plain what’s the main purpose of this, since you could count the times, when user leave the device open for this long, on the fingers of one hand.
Nokia 6060 is having the comfortable keypad slightly uplifted in its oblong hard plastic setting, lined with silver chrome makes it not just a pleasure for the eyes, but also for user fingers as each key reacts with imperceptible yet accurate entries with each entry typed in the text message. This is also coupled with well-thought short-cut keys for the large functional keys which allow customer to send SMS to various options such as recently used numbers or phone book entries, to groups or preset profile of contacts. Multimedia messages (MMS) composing is equipped with the choice to contain images, sound clips, calendar notes, business cards or also allows user to align text accordingly. An interesting, yet seemingly backward form of animated text composing is also available as "Flash messages" for Nokia 6060 phone. The chrome-detailed Nokia 6060 marks yet another addition to Nokia's clamshell handset collection and also its focus on style over features in the entry-level handset market.
Nokia 6060's Medium dimensions of 85x44x24 mm, are filled with 91.7 grams of weight. The casing is made of plastic – the cover is mostly glossy, but the front and the rear of the handset have metal-like framings, because of them the device looks more magnificent. The Nokia 6060 looks very similar in design to the Nokia 6103. As to other details on the appearance, the handset’s surface is easily soiled, all details are well-adjusted to each other with no gaps remaining. The front plate, besides the common large Nokia label, holds quite wide opening with a red indicator incorporated into – to tell the truth this detail leaves a strong impression that it has been adopted from some other device, since it doesn’t blend with the general outlook
Nokia 6060 having the loudspeaker for reproducing interlocutor’s voice is positioned towards the upper end of the handset, while at the bottom one will find the charger connector, headset jack and a fastening for a strap. The numeric keys are closed up and small in size, all of them are located in horizontal lines with silvery edging. With sleek curves and chrome accents the 6060 resembles a smaller flip version of the great Nokia 8800. The white backlight is uniformly distributed over the surface. The battery lid occupies almost the entire rear face, Now as to what the lid covers – behind it a Li-Ion battery is located, which’s capacity equals 760 mAh, considering the manufacturer’s statement, it guarantees 260 hours of life time in standby mode and up to 2.5 hours of talk time.
