Nokia 3120 Cell Phones
Nokia released the Nokia 3120 phone in 2004 and it is one of the most popular Nokia Cell Phoes in Europe and United States. It is different from the 3100 in having a new metallic effect covers and a revised keypad. The Nokia 3120 for AT and T Wireless and Cingular Wireless is an updated version of the Nokia 3100. While the two handsets have almost the same features and dimensions, the 3120 offers a more understated style than its predecessor. Redesigned keys and a uniform color across its face give the newer handset a sleeker, more stylish look. Users can still personalize the teen-friendly 3120 with replaceable covers for the rear face and sides and can use the integrated instant messaging.
The phone's price is wallet-friendly, but the user should be able to find it for less with service. According to the FCC the 3120 has a digital SAR rating of 0.75 watts per kilogram.With this Nokia 3120 it is easy access to new wallpapers, screensavers, chatting with the friends or make new ones on the Internet via the Mobile QQ Instant Messaging application and other content. The 3120 uses a traditional phone only design, but includes features generally found only on higher-end Cell Phones.
Nokia 3120 combines modern features with traditional candybar design and the Tri-band (GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz). The display of 3120 handset is of 128 x 128 pixel color display capable of displaying 4096 colors over 5 lines of text. The keypad is much improved from 3100. It resembles much to 6610. Data transmission is provided by GPRS, and the included web browser supports XHTML over WAP 1.2, including support for JPEG and PNG images. Other high-end features include both SMS and MMS support, polyphonic ring tones, and animated screen savers. It also includes OMA forward lock Digital Rights Management (DRM).
The Nokia 3120 comes with built-in Java support using the MIDP 1.0 profile, and includes several pre-installed games, including like Snake EX2, Beach Rally and Nature Park. Additional Java programs are downloadable over WAP. To better support gamers, the front-mounted D-Pad supports 8-way navigation. Nokia 3120 phone is equipped with JAVA MIDP 2.0, XHTML and WAP browser, GPRS and POP-port connectivity and Li-ON baterry. Incoming calls alert is using MIDI polyphonic ringtones and vibrating alert. The display even though shares same as 6610 or 6100 but is richer and easily visible (because of passive matrix). The phone can send and receive text and multimedia messages with ringtones and images in BMP, JPEG, PNG and GIF formats. The phone does not have any voice recorder, radio receiver, mp3 player or camera, although a camera can be added to the phone via its Pop-Port.
