Motorola V600 Cell Phones
Motorola V600 is the first 4-band phone from Motorola. Motorola V600 is equipped with integrated digital camera and bluetooth. For the first time an intenal screen supports up to 65000 colors which is similar to V80. The V600 is one of Motorola's high tier phone models. It combines the reliability of the popular V60 series and the features such as J2ME and a color screen, and also adds Bluetooth and an integrated camera. The V600 is very important to international travellers because quite often they already have a RIM BlackBerry to do their email, but until the release of the 7290 model, they had only worked on either the 900 MHz or 1800 MHz GSM frequencies. In order to get reception in every country that has GSM, the V600 operates on the GSM/GPRS 850/900/1800/1900 bands (In comparison, the GSM version of the T720 for North America only operates on the 850/1900 bands). The phone was carried in the U.S. by T-Mobile USA (the T-Mobile version had the 850 MHz band removed, but can be re-enabled via a software update or seem-editing), AT and T Wireless and Cingular.
The V600 was so successful that Motorola released as well as custom models for carriers. Most of these phones are quad-band as well. Motorola Mobile Phones - Recently announced, Motorola has unveiled the replacement for the popular V66, the new V600. The V600 incorporates a long overdue face lift for the mainstay of Motorola's GSM phone family. The V600 looks very similar to the V66 curved designs. However there are two noticeably major differences. The first is the external LCD. Sitting on the front lid is a 2 lined 96 x 32 pixels monochrome display. Useful information such as time, date, caller ID and battery life are shown for convenience. The second is the camera lens right above the external LCD. The integrated VGA camera allows you to take pictures up to 640 x 480 pixels resolution. The new V600 not only has a colour display, but an integrated camera, polyphonic ringtones and Bluetooth.
The Motorola V600 is a slimmed-down version of the popular Motorola V300 and V400. The black-and-silver flip phone has an external monochrome screen that displays the time and Caller ID information. For a touch of flash when a call comes in, the external Motorola logo lights up according to the choice of consumer. The 4-directional keypad inside is more comfortable to use. The round pad surrounding the center button is not as prominent and the center button is larger. The number pad is a tad uncomfortable. The keys are not raised enough, there are no gaps between them, and they are a bit slippery. The V600 is a worldwide quad-band GSM phone and when it comes to staying connected sans voice, the phone also supports SMS, EMS and MMS as well as POP3, IMAP4 and SMTP e-mail. The audio quality of phone calls placed in testing was fine. Built-in Camera - Features 4x digital zoom. This handset is provided with an excellent feature for the camera. There is a chance to set the pictures from the camera as a background on the phone.
The Motorola V600 mobile add some spice, though, such as the ability to play short video clips. However, do not expect to record any video even though there is a VGA (640-by-480) camera. Overall, the Motorola V600 is a nicely designed phone ideal for both personal and business use. Motorola V600 is the first quad-band GSM ever. It operates in 800, 900, 1800 and 1900 bands. Although GSM is global, different continents use different frequency bands for which GSM runs under. For that reason, certain Cell Phones which are made for one region are not compatible with another due to frequency limitations. This release adds support for the Motorola V600/V500/V300 handset series to the Browser ADK. The V600's quad-band capabilities allows users to use the phone anywhere GSM is located. Quad-band GSM technology gives ability to stay in touch worldwide.
